<u>Answer-</u>

\boxed{\boxed{y^{\circ}=26^{\circ}\ 45'}}

<u>Solution-</u>

As the triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle, with AC = BC.

So the angles A and B will be same, i.e

\Rightarrow \angle A=\angle B

\Rightarrow 34^{\circ}=(x-5)^{\circ}

\Rightarrow x^{\circ}=34^{\circ}+5^{\circ}

\Rightarrow x^{\circ}=39^{\circ}

As sum of all angles in a triangle is 180°, so

\Rightarrow \angle A+\angle B+\angle C=180^{\circ}

\Rightarrow 34^{\circ}+39^{\circ}+4y^{\circ}=180^{\circ}

\Rightarrow 4y^{\circ}=180^{\circ}-34^{\circ}-39^{\circ}

\Rightarrow 4y^{\circ}=107^{\circ}

\Rightarrow y^{\circ}=\dfrac{107^{\circ}}{4}

\Rightarrow y^{\circ}=26.75^{\circ}

\Rightarrow y^{\circ}=26^{\circ}\ 45'

John’s house is 12 miles away from school. He is two-thirds of the way home. How many miles has he walked? A. 8 B. 16 C. 18 D. 2
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
This question is funny because the total he has to walk from school back home is 12 MILES. The question tries to confuse you by using the term “two-thirds”. Here is my point: He only had to walk a total of twelve miles. Why would the answer be 16, 18, and 24 miles when he only has to walk 12??? This is just common sense and I wouldn’t overthink the question. I hope I helped! Glad I caught this. Have a great night.

hannah is making maffins. The recipe calls for 5/8 cup of milk to make 20 muffins. What is the unit rate for cups of milk per mu
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

32 muffins

Step-by-step explanation:

one cup of milk will make 32 muffins

you can set up a proportion of milk/muffins = milk/muffins

let 'x' = number of muffins made from one cup of milk

5/8 ÷ 20 = 1 ÷ x

cross-multiply to get 5x = 20(8)

5x = 160

x = 32

Which visualization tool is more helpful for detecting outliers in data? Select one: a. scatter plot b. histogram c. Boxplot
Tpy6a [65]

Answer:

(A) Scatterplot

Step-by-step explanation:

The most helpful visualization to spot outliers would be a scatterplot.

When collecting data on a scatterplot, you can see how the results are similar and which areas have the most answers and such.

There can be multiply outliers on a scatterplot, and they stand out because while most answers will be clumped together, the outliers will not.
