Answer: Cell is the smallest structural unit of life. All living things in the world are made of small self-contained units called cells. Each cell is a collection of living matter enclosed by a cell membrane which function as a barrier that separate the cell from its surroundings. Most cells can perform all the functions associated with life.

Explanation: Living things have a level of complexity and organization not found in lifeless objects. These units generally too small to be seen with the naked eye, are organised into tissues. The organisms consisting of only a single cell are called "unicellular". Most of the organisms you are familiar with, however are multicellular, meaning they are made of many cells.

Answer:

The smallest structural unit that exhibits the characteristics of living things is CELL.

Explanation:

Cell has been defined as the smallest unit of life. It can be found in all living things although the number may differ. Unicellular organisms have only one cells while multi cellular organisms have many cells. In unicellular organisms, a single cell perform all the necessary metabolic activities; in multi cellular organisms, cells are differentiated into different types that perform specific functions. When group of cells work together to perform a specific function they are called tissue. Aggregation of tissues is called organ while aggregation of organs is called systems.

djverab [1.8K]

The nutrient is phosphorus

<h3>The phosphorus cycle</h3>

Phosphorus cycles between living components of the earth (biosphere) and the soil (geosphere).

The element's reservoir is mainly the sediments of the ocean and rocks. Phosphorus gets into the soil by weathering of rocks.

Plants are able to pick the element up from the soil and animals are able to get their phosphorus by consuming plants.

When plants and animal die, their body decomposes and the phosphorus in them enters the soil.

Thus, the cycle being referred to in the illustration is the phosphorus cycle.

A few years after a devastating forest fire, pioneer trees become established. after another 50 years, those trees are replaced
Keith_Richards [23]
Abiotic factors composed of water, light, temperature and air etc. due to fire's this primary succession was completely destroyed. Their remaining organic bodies were decomposed in soil texture.

In order to establish secondary succession there is need of water and light, because water help in translocation of food and nutrients in plants while light is important for photosynthesis.

Photosynthesis need three major components. these are H₂O, CO₂ and light, all these components are abiotic part of ecosystem. However, when secondary succession occurs, then light play a key role in changing the composition of plant community. The best example is the difference in height of plants of different community.
