In book 20 of Odysseus, Odysseus cannot sleep because of the upcoming killing of the suitors. Odysseus asks for a help from Zeus as he did in the past. Zeus sends down a thunder as a sign and Odysseus's maid interpret it as the end of the suitors. Only after that event, Odysseus regains his courage. The correct answer is D.
