We need to write interval for the number from -5 to 2.

We need to exclude numbers -2 and 2 from it.

First we need to note some important points about interval notation.

We need to check, which numbers are included and which numbers are excluded in the given interval.

We use open-interval ( or ) for excluded values and [ or ] close-interval for included values.

For the given problem, we have given three numbers: -5, -2 and 2.

It's clarly given that -2 and 2 are not included. But it is not said that -5 is excluded, so -5 is included number.

-2 comes in between -5 and 2 on the number line.

So let us write interval notation from -5 to -2. (Note : -5 is included and -2 excluded).

Therefore, we will write close interval " [ " on left side of -5 and an open interval " ( "on right side of -2. We get,

[-5 , -2 ).

Now, we will write interval notation from -2 to 2.

Both are excluced values, os we will take open intervals ( ) on left and right side of -2 and 2.

So, we get another part of the interval as

(-2,2).

We will put union symbol in between above two interval notations we get.

Therefore, final interval notation is

[-5 , -2 ) ∪ (-2,2).

Write an equation of a line parallel to line EF below in slope-intercept form that passes through the point (2, 6).
N76 [4]

Answer:

y = -⅔x + ²²/₃

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Calculate the slope of EF

Assume E is at (-2, 5) and F is at (1, 3).

m₁ = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁) = (3 - 5)/(1 -(-2)) = -⅔

2. Calculate the slope of the parallel line

m₂ = m₁ = -⅔

3. Calculate its y-intercept

y = mx + b

6 =-⅔(2) + b

Simplify

6 = -⁴/₃ + b

Add ⁴/₃ to each side

b = 6 + ⁴/₃ = ¹⁸/₃ + ⁴/₃ = ²²/₃

The y-intercept is at (0,²²/₃).

4. Write the equation for the line

y = -⅔x + ²²/₃

The diagram shows EF in red. The parallel line in black passes through (2, 6) with a y-intercept at (0,²²/₃).

Is 3/8bigger than 4/10
mojhsa [17]
The way to work this out is to find a common denominator. so in this case 80 is a common denominator. So it would be 3/8 into 30/80 and then 4/10 into 32/80 therefore 4/10 is bigger

?????????????????????????????
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

B. 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If you were to multiply the top equation by 3 then the x value for the first equation would be 6 and since the bottom equation's x value is -6, if you were to add them, they would cancel eachother off.

LOL hope this makes sense :) Please give brainliest!! Thanks!!
