The Declaration of Independence begin with the words, “The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America.” Why
OlgaM077 [116]

Brainliest Please

The correct answer is:

Answers will vary. Most students might note that it was necessary for Jefferson to prove

that the Continental Congress presented a united front to the world in order to prove that

independence was the true goal of the colonies. Others may state that since each state

provided signers to the document, it was obvious that all thirteen colonies accepted it.

As to the question of whether the 13 colonies could have declared independence if they

weren’t unanimous, answers will vary. Most students might state that independence

would be difficult without the support of all thirteen colonies, but some might say

independence without consensus was still possible. For instance, colonies that objected

could be absorbed into Canada or find a way to peacefully co-exist with those that

seceded.

Why was the temperance movement important?
Rasek [7]

Answer:

Down Below, hope it helps!

Explanation:

The temperance movement was a social movement against the consumption of alcoholic beverages. It was extremely important because many families were broken apart due to the consumption of alcohol, mainly the man in the family. Many wives complained about abusive husbands and many parents got a divorce. That was not all, there were many religious and health concerns when it came to alcohol. The temperance movement did ban alcohol, but it didn't work. Many people went behind the law and started to create illegal places in which people could get access to alcohol. This was extremely dangerous and put many people in harm's way, causing the ban of alcohol to be put down, and the consumption of alcohol was once again, legal.

Reasons why slavery was the main cause of the civil war
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

slavery was the main reason for civil war because people wanted slaves

and other didn't

slave owners wanted control

while antislavery wanted the slaves to be free

the civil war was also caused by other things too but slavery was the biggest because there was kind of a divide against who wanted them free and who didn't

(this is what came to my mind btw)
