How was Blanche K. Bruce’s senator ship different from that of Hiram Revels?
mario62 [17]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Blanche K. Bruce’s senatorship was different from that of Hiram Revels in that although Hiram Revels was the first African American in the United States Senate, he did not serve the entire six years term that is allowed for senators. The first African American Senator that indeed served his whole six years term was Blanche K. Bruce.

Hiram Revels entered the Senate after white Senator Albert G. Brown resigned in 1861. When Revels term ended he went to lead what today is Alcorn State University. In the case of Blanche K. Bruce, his term started in 1875 and ended in 1881. After his period he went to work for the US Treasury.

Answer:

A. frustration that McClellan had amassed and trained a huge military force but refused to use it to attack the Confederates.

Explanation:

George B. McClellan was an alumni of the United States Military Academy who fought in the Mexican War and led several expeditions. He was considered as a distinguished soldier with great personality traits.

He established and commanded a strong army force that helped the Union win the Civil War. However, during the initial period of the war, McClellan portrayed reluctance and unwillingness to take orders from anyone.

President Lincoln was frustrated that McClellan had amassed and trained a huge military force but refused to use it to attack the Confederates.

Therefore, President Lincoln remarked early in the Civil War that he would like to borrow General McClellan's army if he does not want to use the army.
