Did feudalism allow for the production and trade of essential goods?

Well the bottom level for the feudal system were system or surfs, they were owned my the land so the did all the farming or ranching, and then the next class was merchant and they traded with other towns or cities, so yes the feudalism did allow for production and trade of goods

I believe the answer is: Yes it does.

In feudalism, the lands are owned by nobles and the citizens are allowed to work and produce goods by utilziing the lands. In return, the nobles would take larger portion of the results as payment.

Since each citizens can choose different type of goods to produce, they can trade some of the essential goods using barter method.
