To find the correlation coefficient using a graphing calculator (I'll be using a TI-84+, but it applies to all TI calculators:
1) Make sure your diagnostics are turned on. Press [2nd][0] to open the catalog and press [x^{-1}] to jump to the Ds. Scroll until you find “DiagnosticOn” and hit [ENTER] until it says "Done."

2) Enter your data values into the calculator by pressing [STAT] and hitting [ENTER] to select 1: Edit. Put in your x-values under L1 and your y-values under L2. (See picture 1 for what it should look like)

3) After entering values, calculate the correlation coefficient by hitting [STAT], [>] to tab over to the CALC menu, then [4] to select 4: LinReg(ax+b). Hit [ENTER]. Your correlation coefficient is your "r=" value. The correlation coefficient of your data is about -0.901 (see picture 2).

Report your TWO scores for The Property of Numbers and Number Sets in fractional form.
dangina [55]
Finding the mean, also known as averaging numbers, is a very useful thing to know how to do, especially when you need a precise estimate or a very accurate generalization. Means and medians are not exact numbers; however, they are based on a series of exact numbers, therefore they are precise. Finding the mean (average) is used most often when figuring out students’ grades, the price of an item, and other things such as the daily temperature. Median is used to find the mid-section of a group of numbers, and mode is used to find the most popular term of the series (the number that appears the most often).

Karen plans to drive to a national park that is 582.8 miles away her car gets 23.5 miles on 1 gallon of gasoline gasoline cost $
NARA [144]

Answer: The correct answer is $85.56

Step-by-step explanation:

If Karen gets 23.5 miles per one gallon of gas, we divide 582.8 miles by 23.5 to see how many gallons she will use to go the 582.8 miles. The answer is 24.8 gallons. (582.8/23.5=24.8)

We then multiply 24.8 ( the total amount of gallons) x $3.45 (per gallon)= $85.56 for the entire trip
