Answer:

True

Explanation:

Representative characteristics are when you elect someone to represent you and make desicion and laws for you, a direct characteristic is when you can directly make laws and changes to regulations, in this case many countries have both, where you can gather signs and unite people to pass a law or ask for one and can also elect senate and presidents in order to represent you.

The correct answer is True.

In the United States, we have a democratic type of system that is both representative and direct. The representative element includes when we citizens elected officials for different offices. This includes the presidency, members of the US Congress, state representatives, etc.

However, many states in the US allow for direct participation in which citizens can propose and pass legislation without government approval. An example of this would be a ballot initiative. A ballot initiative allows citizens to gather signatures on a measure that they want to become law. If enough signatures are gathered, this piece of legislation is then voted on by the citizens. If the legislation passes, it becomes law without the help of the state or federal government.

Which of the following is NOT a true statement about mores?
Katarina [22]

The correct answer is C) Mores are things like saying excuse me when you need to pass someone.

The sentence that is not true about mores is “mores are things like saying excuse me when you need to pass someone.”

Mores are rules that society sets by tradition, beliefs or heritage. Mores are strict because they establish what is morally correct and what is not. When someone does not apply the social mores, he/she usually is criticized. Mores are considered necessary for the welfare of society, sometimes they became laws, and the violation of mores often are met with harsh penalties. But what is not true about mores is “mores are things like saying excuse me when you need to pass someone.”

Why might both sides consider the Korean War a failure? Select three options.
velikii [3]

Answer:

Explanation:

well a lot to be honest. As you may know war mainly has one of these goals. land, goods ( economic gain), religion there's more but these are the most common. And to be honest since nothing was won from this war there was no sole reason for it so either way no side would have won and that's why it was a failure on both ends.

The Mystery of Loch Ness By Kayden Mitchell Of all the mysteries in the world, none has been as popular as that of the Loch Ness
Nesterboy [21]

The introduction of this essay could be considered the first paragraphs:

.....The Mystery of Loch Ness By Kayden Mitchell Of all the mysteries in the world, none has been as popular as that of the Loch Ness Monster. Perhaps the biggest mystery is whether it is convincing evidence or a simple desire to believe that keeps the myth alive. Loch Ness is a lake in Scotland. The loch, or lake, is known for sightings of a mysterious monster. Most who see this monster, known as Nessie, describe something with a long neck and several humps above the water. Sometimes the "monster" is moving in these sightings, and sometimes it is still. Many have suggested that Nessie might be a plesiosaur (plea-see-a-soar), an aquatic dinosaur that was trapped in the loch after the last ice age. ...

For this, we need to consider what is an introduction to a text, and how is different from the body (the main text composed of the body paragraphs) the conclusions. In the introduction as you can see in the image I provide, the introduction gives us the general idea what the essay will be about, posing the main ideas and also the opinion or the idea which will guide the entire text. Usually, introductions limit to be descriptions and presentations of the ideas that later in the body will be the subject of arguments or defending a position regarding a particular subject.
