Answer:

Option b is right.

Step-by-step explanation:

A function is given as

g(x) = \frac{x^2}{x^2-2x-1}

Limit is to be found out for x tends to infinity.

We find that numerator and denominator has the same degree.

HEnce a horizontal asymptote exists

COefficients of leading terms are 1 and 1 respectively

Asymtote would be y =1/11 = 1

Alternate method:

When x tends to infinity, 1/x tends to 0

g(x) =\frac{\frac{1}{x^2} }{1-\frac{2}{x} -\frac{1}{x^2} }

by dividing both numerator and denominator by square of x.

Now take limit as 1/x tends to 0

we get

limit is y tends to 1/1 =1

Hence horizontal asymptote is y =1

If the numbers -2.5, -1.6, -3 1/10, - 1/10, and -0.5 were graphed on a number line, which would appear farthest to the left?
Leona [35]
Turn the question around.
If all the numbers were positive: 2.5, 1.6, 3 1/10, 1/10, and 0.5, which would be farthest to the right?

The fact is that the negative numbers are a reflection of the positive numbers.
Since 3 1/10 would be farthest to the right with positive numbers, -3 1/10 will be farthest to the left with the negative numbers.

The relation Q is described as a list of ordered pairs, shown below. Q = { (-2, 4), (0, 2), (-1, 3), (4, -2) whats the domain an
tester [92]

Answer:

Domain: {-2,0,-1,4}

Range: {4,2,3,-2}

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Given the The relation Q={ (-2, 4), (0, 2), (-1, 3), (4, -2)}, you can determine the domain and the range as following:

DOMAIN:

The domain is the x-coordinate of each ordered pair. Therefore, you have:

Domain: {-2,0,-1,4}

RANGE:

The range is the y-coordinate of each ordered pair. Therefore, you have:

Range: {4,2,3,-2}
