First, find the area of the two circle shaped faces by using the area formula for a circle, and then multiply it by two. The area formula for a circle is:
A = \pi r^{2}

Now, plug in your radius (r) that they give you and solve it. The radius is 8 cm.

A = \pi 8^{2}

A = \pi(64)
A = 201.06 cm^2

Since there are 2 circles, so you will want to multiply that answer by 2.
2(201.06) = 402.12 cm^2

That was the first part. NOW, you will want to find the area for the long part. In order to do this, you find the circumference of the circle and multiply it by the height. In other words-- use the formula A = d\pih, where d stands for diameter, and h stands for height.

Diameter is always twice the radius, so in order to find the diameter, multiply r by 2:
d = 2(8) = 16

Now, plug in d, along with the height they give you, to the area equation and solve it.

A = 16\pi(25.3)
A = 1271.72 cm^2

Finally, add your two areas together to get your final area.
1271.72 + 402.12 = 1673.84

Your final surface area is 1673.0 cm^2 to the nearest tenth.

(2,110)(5,114.5)
slope = (114.5 - 110) / (5 - 2) = 4.5 / 3 = 1.5

y = mx + b
slope(m) = 1.5
use either of ur points..(2,110)...x = 2 and y = 110
now we sub and find b, the y int
110 = 1.5(2) + b
110 = 3 + b
110 - 3 = b
107 = b

so ur equation is : y = 1.5x + 107 <==

daser333 [38]

Answer:

8.6 to the nearest tenth.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the distance formula d =  √ [(y2 - y1)^2 + (x2 - x1)^2] where (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are the two endpoints.

= √ (4 - -3)^2 + (-3-2)^2

= √(49 + 25)

= 8.60
