C. INTAGLIO is the opposite of relief printmaking.
The Intaglio process involves printing that is done from ink that is below the surface of the plate. The plate can be made out of copper, zinc, aluminum, magnesium, plastic, or coated with paper. The design is cut, etched or scratched on the face of the plate.
