In cell e7, create a formula that calculates the salary for sarah, one of the servers at the good breeze hotel. her salary is ca

lculated by multiplying the number of regular hours worked (cell b7) by her hourly rate (cell d7), and then adding to that the number of overtime hours worked (cell c7) multiplied by her hourly rate (cell d7) times 1.5. (hint: sarah is paid 50% more than—or 1.5 times—her regular hourly rate when she works overtime.)

Given that number of "Hours worked" is entered into cell B7.

Given that "Hourly rate" is entered into cell D7.

Given that "Overtime hours" is entered into cell C7.

And the salary is calculated into cell E7.

Now we need to write formula for salary which needs to be entered into cell E7.

Salary = [Hours worked]*[Hourly rate] + [Overtime hours]*[Hourly rate]*[1.5]

[E7] = [B7]*[D7] +[C7]*[D7]*[1.5]

Hence final answer that you need to type in cell E7 is "=B7*D7+C7*D7*1.5".

A washer and a dryer cost $770 combined. The washer costs $70 more than the dryer. What is the cost of the dryer?
vazorg [7]
Let w = washer and d = dryer:

w + d = $770,
but w = d + 70, replace w with d+70
(d+70) + d = 770
2d + 70 =770
2d = 770 -70 = 700
and d=$350, then w=350+70 = 420

Which of the following comparisons is FALSE?
dybincka [34]

Answer:

A

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's check each one-by-one.

a.

we know 3.79 liters is 1 gallon, so 4 liters IS NOT LESS THAN 1 gallon

THis is false.

b.

We know 1 feet is 0.30 meters, so definitely 1 foot is less than 1 meter.

This is true.

c.

we know around 28.35 grams is 1 ounce, so definitely 25 grams is less than 1 ounce.

THis is true.

d.

We know 1 km is approximately 0.62 miles so 10 km would be around 0.62*10 = 6.2 miles

So definitely 9 miles IS GREATER than 10 km.

THis is true.

So answer choice A is false, only.
