The Reservoir is a part of the biosphere that serves as a storage unit for nutrients or water for a long term. it serves as a long haul stockpiling zone for water or nutrients. An example can be a counterfeit lake, stockpiling lake built using a dam or bolt for the storage of water.
A reservoir is simply the storage space for fluids.
A Reservoir can be likened to a lake but the only difference is that a like is natural that is to say a lake is not built by man which is unlike a Reservoir which is built by man which is usually as a result of dam. Although, there are some cases in which reservoirs are natural instead of being built by man. Apart from the fact that a Reservoir is used to store water which can be used later another advantage of a Reservoir is that the reservoirs can be used in the generation of HEP, that is to say Hydroelectric Power. Apart from damming reservoirs, Reservoirs can be done as as underground service reservoirs or as a bank side reservoirs.
