Montesquieu believed that government power should be divided between different branches. What are these branches?
sasho [114]

Answer:

Legislative, executive, and judicial.

Explanation:

Montesquieu was an influential French political philosopher during the 18th century. He holds the credit of having articulated the political theory that states that governments should be divided in three separate though dependent branches: the executive, the legislative, and the judicial. The core of this idea greatly influenced the writing of the United States Constitution in the 18th century and is present in many other political constitutions today.

AlexFokin [52]

When it comes to Colonial South America I would be reporting about the Indian tribes in rural Peru. The time period would be 19th century. Their lives are opressed under the Spanish Colonial rule. They are starting to assimilate, accepting Christianity which was a monotheistic religion. Before that period, they were worshiping many of their Mayan Gods and were living mainly form their own agricultural labor. Now, under the Spanish rule, they have to work for others sometimes in slave like conditions, for a very poor wage. Spanish Colonization of South America had a huge impact on the Indian Tribes. A lot of them were killed by desiese, were robbed of their gold and other possesions. They had to learn a new language and accept new cusoms. Even today a lot of them are exploited, working on coffee, salt and cocoa farms in harsh conditions for as little as 10$ a month.

what are some of the differences between jewish and christian canons of the bible and how can they be explained
RideAnS [48]
Jews do not believe that Jesus Christ was the returning messiah Christians do. New Testament was all about a new way of life because Jesus came. Jews live by the Old Testament but Christians see it as you can learn from it but some/all sacrifices and laws do not apply. Christians live by the New Testament and Jews think it made up. Hope that helps.

Punishments come in many forms, such as time-outs, physical violence, taking away personal items, to more extreme forms of punishment such as torture and death. Like mentioned in the question punishment is used as a method to discourage a behavior from happening again, and different methods of punishment are used depending on the situation.

How did the influence of Islam change the way people lived throughout the Islamic Empire?
Elena L [17]

Answer:

Overview

Explanation:

Towards the end of the Abbasid caliphate, the formerly vast and united Islamic empire became fragmented and decentralized.

Many different groups ruled areas previously held by the Abbasids.

Religious institutions became more defined during this period as state power waned.

Trade contributed to the spread of Islamic culture and led to a growing feeling of internationalism.

From the ninth century to the twelfth century, Islamic culture flourished and crystallized into what we now recognize as Islam. The military expansions of the earlier period spread Islam in name only; it was later that Islamic culture truly spread, with people converting to Islam in large numbers.
