Michelle affected Ekran because she made him feel safe in the place he was
in.<span> She would do this my not being so afraid of Ekran like she was, she would
“analyze” his patterns and just play along with his games and his stories. When
Michelle started this job, she was so scared of some of the patients including Ekran.

<span>But as she worked she realized
they kind of are having the same experience while they are at the center, she was
mistrusted just like he was so she got to know him more. As she got used to him
he started to feel safe with her and he started trusting her. In the beginning of
the story he was told to take a shower but he didn’t want to until Michelle came
along and because he trusted her he did what she asked. Ekran had many things that
he said but nobody wanted to play along because they didn’t care, but Michelle did.
Ekran would talk most about his guitar and would say “he sold my guitar” and instead
of not caring she would say, “Yes he did, but he did it because he cared about you,
that’s why he did it.” </span>
