Answer:

First number=x

Second number=x-11

x+x-11+8=71

2x-3=71

2x=74

divide both sides by 2

x=37

first number is 37

second number is x- 11 that is 37-11 which equals to 26

i hope it helps please mark me brainliest . thanks bye.

What is the product x^2-16 over 2x+8 • x^3-2x^2+x over x^2+3x-4
Oxana [17]

Answer:

  \dfrac{x^3-5x^2 +4x}{2x+8}

Step-by-step explanation:

The basic idea is to factor each expression and cancel common factors from numerator and denominator.

  \dfrac{x^2-16}{2x+8}\cdot\dfrac{x^3-2x^2 +x}{x^2+3x-4}=\dfrac{(x-4)(x+4)}{2(x+4)}\cdot\dfrac{x(x-1)^2}{(x+4)(x-1)}\\\\=\dfrac{(x-4)x(x-1)}{2(x+4)}\cdot\dfrac{(x+4)(x-1)}{(x+4)(x-1)}\\\\=\boxed{\dfrac{x^3-5x^2 +4x}{2x+8}}

the length of a rectangle is 4 meters longer than the width. if the area is 22 square meters , find the rectangle dimension
Readme [11.4K]

Let breadth be x

  • Length=x+4

We know

\boxed{\sf Area_{(Rectangle)}=Length\times Breadth}

\\ \sf\longmapsto x(x+4)=22

\\ \sf\longmapsto x^2+4x=22

\\ \sf\longmapsto x^2+4x-22=0

  • By solving

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=-2\pm\sqrt{26}

It doesnot have any real roots

For number 81 and 84 it asks me to Complete the square to form a perfect-square trinomial. Could someone explain how I find the
marin [14]
To complete the square, you want to add a number that will allow the number to be factored into terms of the form (x + ?)^2

For x^2 + x + ?:
For (x + ?)(x + ?), we want both ? to add up the 1 (the number in front of x), and since both ? have to be the same number, ? must equal 1/2 (1/2 + 1/2 = 1).
Multiplying this out:
(x + 1/2)^2
(x + 1/2)<span>(x + 1/2)
</span>x^2 + x + 1/4

Answer: x^2 + x + 1/4

For x^2 + 6x + ?:
For (x + ?)(x + ?)<span>, we want both ? to add up the 6 (the number in front of x), and since both ? have to be the same number, ? must equal 3 (3 + 3 = 6). </span>
Multiplying this out:
(x + 3)^2
(x + 3)<span>(x + 3)
</span>x^2 + 6x + 9

Answer: <span>x^2 + 6x + 9</span>

anzhelika [568]

Answer:

1. 45

2. 45/1

3. 45t=d

Step-by-step explanation:

1. You have to divide 90 by 2 to find the distance the vehicle is going per hour. And 90 divided by 2 is 45, so the vehicle is going 45 miles per hour. So the constant of proportionality is 45.

2. The unit rate is just a fraction with the constant of proportionality as the numerator, and the denominator is "1". So the unit rate for this problem is 45/1.

3. Since the vehicle is going 45 mph, you have to multiply the time by 45. Let us say the vehicle travels for 10 hours. When you multiply 45 by 10, the product would be 450. So if the vehicle travels for 10 hours, the car would have traveled 450 miles. The equation would be 45t=d.
