Most journalism is supposed to be objective (as opposed to subjective or emotional) and verifiable, and the information that is presented should have been fact-checked by the journalist. In an attempt to convey an objective rendering of a piece of news, a journalist might wish to stick to the 5W´s, which are five basic questions that should be addressed, and they are: who, what, when, where, why.
