Before you start ANY essay, include a header (your name, date, class, teacher, etc). Also, Use indentation (or tabs) to indent every paragraph. Your teacher might ask for it to be double spaced, font size 12, and in times new roman. I created a version of your heading in my Attachment.

Other than that, I did like how you would say stuff like "With a flick of a wand, I soon fell under the spell of my next reading adventure" I thought that was extremely cool. Also, You might want to combine a few paragraphs so that your essay isn't too lengthy. Finally, sometimes teachers don't like it when you use lenthy words (like you said "<span>These riveting enigmas led me to the lands of dinosaurs and the mystical world of wizards"). Some teachers see that as a way for people to use up word count, but then again its not completely wrong. Personally, I would use simple words instead of such detailed words that a lot of people might not understand.

I hope this helps, and if you can, can you mark me brainliest please? thanks!</span>

4. What does the author's use of figurative language in paragraph 23
Liula [17]

Answer:

In paragraph 23 of Ray Bradbury's All Summer in a Day, Margot is created as a nine-year-old protagonist who relocates from Earth to Venus.

On this occasion (Page 23 that is,) she is featured in an emotional state wherein she misses her home planet and the intensity of the Sun she felt.

She expresses these memories and positive feelings using metaphorical statements such as the sun being a flower that blooms for only an hour every seven years on Venus.

In contrast to Earth, the sun was available for about 7 hours per day, every day.

Explanation:

The text from which the question is excerpted is a science fiction genre written in 1950.

Because Venus is about 67 million miles from the sun (that is, seventy-two percent of the distance from Earth to the sun, there is a great difference in the amount of daylight received on Earth in contrast to that which is received on Venus.

For Margot, she was very homesick. She imagined that the kids her age at Venus had even forgotten how the sun looked like given that it appeared about seven years ago for just one hour.

The above is the picture the writer tries to capture in the story.

Answer:

OA. I went to look for my watch, but I can never seem to find the time.

Explanation:

A pun is usually a comical play on the actual statement itself. There usually two elements that are inter connected to each other in some way.

Let's look at A: watch and time correlate since a watch tells time. The statement is ironic the speaker doesn't have his watch, therefore figuratively but maybe actually as well "doesn't have the time". It's therefore a pun.

B: It's a different figurative language technique, but I'm not sure what it is. 100% sure it's not a pun though.

C: it's a metaphor. It's a comparison between two things, in this case the novel was so well explained it had he accuracy of hitting a nail directly on the head.

D: That's just a statement, maybe a poetic quote.
