Celiac disease causes damage to the villi when can cause malnutrition?

A. True
B. False
sukhopar [10]
True

Because Celiac disease is both a disease of malabsorption (nutrients are not absorbed properly) and an abnormal immune reaction to gluten. Villi, microscopic fingers of tissue, line the small intestine and increase the surface area available to absorb nutrients.

Find the expression x = -7 x2 -1 / x+4
ELEN [110]
Please confirm the question is x = (-7x^2 - 1) / (x + 4)

if that is the case, then

x * (x + 4) = -7x^2 - 1

x^2 + 4x = -7x^2 -1

8x^2 + 4x + 1 = 0

which does not have any real solution

Edit - much easier question to evaluate the expression (x^2 -1) / (x + 4) when x=-7

(-7^2 - 1) / (-7 + 4)

= (49 -1 ) / -3

= 48 / -3

= -16

The quotient of the opposite of a number squared and three
Mars2501 [29]

Answer:

"The quotient of the opposite of a number squared and 3"

Take "the opposite of a number squared" and call it y.

So you get "The quotient of y and 3"

This is y/3.

Now what is y? "The opposite of a number squared"

Take "The opposite of a number" and call it z.

So y is "z squared"

Replacing y, we get z^2 / 3

But what is z? "The opposite of a number"

Call "a number" x.

The opposite of x is -x.

So z is "-x"

Replacing z, we get (-x)^2 / 3
