read the following excerpt from the Epic of Gilgamesh. What does the phrase "this was the king who knew the countries of the wor

ld" suggest about the kind of government Gilgamesh ruled over? I will proclaim to the world the deeds of Gilgamesh. This was the man to whom all things were known; this was the king who knew the countries of the world. He was wise, he saw mysteries and knew secret things…When the gods created Gilgamesh they gave him a perfect body. Shamash the glorious sun endowed him with beauty…surpassing all others, terrifying like a great wild bull. Two thirds they made him god and one third man. The Epic of Gilgamesh

Why did Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton focus their attention on women’s suffrage?
Crazy boy [7]

Explanation:

When Susan B. Anthony was denied a chance to speak at a temperance convention because of her gender, she was inspired to shift her focus to the fight for women’s rights. She realized that no one would take women in politics seriously unless they had the right to vote, writing: “There never will be complete equality until women themselves help to make laws and elect lawmakers.”Anthony was tireless in her efforts, giving speeches around the country to convince others to support a woman’s right to vote. She even took matters into her own hands in 1872 when she voted in the presidential election illegally. Anthony was arrested and tried unsuccessfully to fight the charges. She ended up being fined $100—a fine she never paid.

The U.S. Congress claims
Pie

Answer:

The U.S. Congress claims  implied powers, which are powers that best completes its enumerated powers, but are not directly stated in the Constitution.

Explanation:

The Implied Powers theory was first expressed by Alexander Hamilton on February 23, 1791; it is applied to the case law of the United States Supreme Court, in particular to extend the jurisdiction of this court to the courts of individual federal states where they are not constitutionally provided for. The extension in particular concerns powers not foreseen by the Constitution but necessary to be able to experience those expressed in the Constitution of the United States, and it is applicable both for the Congress and the Supreme Court.

How did the political impacts of the Great Depression differ in the United
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

The government was unable to deal with the economic crisis left by the war.  The economic situation in Germany briefly improved between 1924-1929. However, Germany in the 1920s remained politically and economically unstable. The Weimar democracy could not withstand the disastrous Great Depression of 1929.
