The length of Emma's journey from her home to her friends house is 72 km.
photoshop1234 [79]
Emma’s average speed in kph should be 54 kilometers per hour. I got this by putting 1 hour and 20 minutes into just minutes. which would be 80 minutes then dividing 72km by 80 minutes. Which gave me 0.9. Then multiplying 0.9 by 60 because there are 60 minutes in an hour. Which gave me 54 kph. hope I helped.

Hunter-Best [27]

Answer:

Ok, let's calculate the number of possible outcomes:

First, let's see the events and the number of outcomes in each event:

Drawing a card --- 4 outcomes

Rolling a number cube ---- 6 outcomes.

The total number of outcomes will be equal to the product between the number of outcomes in each individual event, this is:

C = 4*6 = 24.

Now, suppose that you have a restriction like:

"What is the probability that you have an odd number in the number cube?"

Ok, let's do the same:

Drawing a card ---- 4 outcomes (the restriction does not affect this event)

Rolling a number cube ---- 3 outcomes (because there are only 3 odd numbers)

The number of combinations is:

C' = 4*3 = 12.

Then the probability will be the quotient between the number of outcomes that meet the condition and the total number of outcomes:

P = C'/C = 12/24 = 0.5
