The issue which was of little concern was the actual success of the protests.

The Arab Spring was a series of protests that erupted in countries int he Middles East against the low standard of life and oppressive regimes that were governing these territories. It started in Tunisia in late 2010 and would later spread to Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, and Bahrain. The result of these regimes was the ousting of governments in a couple of countries and in some cases it led to prolonged civil wars like in Libya and Syria. There is still ongoing conflict in the latter country.
