Answer:

Frank is incorrect.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Frank reasoned that in the number 0.555, the value of the 5 in the thousands place is ten times as great as the 5 in the hundredth place.

To find : Is he correct explain ?

Solution :

Ones    Tenths     Hundredths     Thousandths

 0           5                     5                      5

The expanded form is   0\times 1+5\times \frac{1}{10}+5\times \frac{1}{100}+5\times \frac{1}{1000}

The value of the 5 in the thousandths place is \frac{1}{10} times as great as the 5 in the hundredth place.

Therefore, Frank is incorrect.

The given number is 0.555 which can be written as

0+ \frac{1}{10}*5 + \frac{1}{100}* 5+ \frac{1}{1000} * 5

As we see that after decimal, every next digit is 1/10 times of the current digit .

Therefore the statement , " the value of the 5 in the thousands place is ten times as great as the 5 in the hundredth place " is not correct .

Ok, I made a mistake on my last question, but this time I have the right one. Solve v, 5/v=2/7.25
Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

v=\frac{145}{8}

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{5}{v}=\frac{2}{7.25}

\frac{5}{v}=\frac{2}{\frac{725}{100}}

v=\frac{2}{\frac{5^2*29}{2^2*5^2}}

v=\frac{145}{8}

Determine the area<br> i don't know the answer
mamaluj [8]

The answer is 48m² because 48 times 2 is 96. Not 96m² because that would be 96 times 2 And wayyy too much. You do 6 times four which is 24 then 24 times four because it is separated into four quadrants & that would equal 96m & half of 96 is 48
