Answer:

(12^2)+(4^2)=160

\sqrt{160}=Large side of a rectangle

(2^2)+(6^2)=40

\sqrt{40}=small side of a rectangle

\sqrt{160} *\sqrt{40} =\sqrt{160*40} =80 area

Step-by-step explanation: 12*4=48/2=24Large triangle area

2*6=12/2=6 small triangle area

Two large triangles=2*24=48

two small triangle=2*6=12

48+12=60

Largerectangle area=14*10=140

140-60=80

Does anyone know this answer??
Aleonysh [2.5K]

For this case we have the following equation:

(2x + 3) ^ 2 + 8 (2x + 3) + 11 = 0

Let u = 2x + 3

We have:

u ^ 2 + 8u + 11 = 0

By definition, given an equation of the form ax ^ 2 + bx + c = 0

The quadratic formula, to find the solution can be written as:

x = \frac{-b+/-\sqrt{b ^ 2-4 (a) (c)} }{2(a)}

In this case we have:

a = 1\\b = 8\\c = 11

Substituting in the quadratic formula we have:

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

1)

\frac{5}{24}+\frac{2}{3-x}=\frac{1}{4}\\\\\frac{5}{24}-\frac{1}{4}=\frac{-2}{3-x}\\\\\frac{5}{24}-\frac{1*6}{4*6}=\frac{-2}{3-x}\\\\\frac{5-6}{24}}=\frac{-2}{3-x}\\\\\frac{-1}{24}}=\frac{-2}{3-x}\\\\\\(-1)*(3-x)=(-2)*24\\\\-1*3-(-1)*x = -48\\\\-3 + x = -48\\\\x = -48 + 3\\\\x = -45

x = -45

VLD [36.1K]

Answer:

The average speed would be 10.1 kilometers per hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we convert both times into minutes, it will make solving this much easier. After finding the speed for both legs, we can find the average by adding the two values together and dividing by 2. This results in 10.11430568 or can be rounded to 10.1.

The sat mathematics score in the state of florida for this year are approximately normally distributed with a mean of 500 and st
ExtremeBDS [4]
Since 700=500+2\times100=\mu+2\sigma is 2 standard deviations above the mean, you're looking for the probability that

\mathbb P(0

The empirical rule says that approximately 95% of a normal distribution lies within 2 standard deviations of the mean, or \mathbb P(|Z|.

Since the normal distribution is symmetric, you have

\mathbb P(|Z|
