How would adding 0 affect the mean and median

Mathematics
1 answer:

6 0

Answer:

The 0 would most likely effect the mean the most. This is because the mean accounts for value of the numbers. But the median, however, just depends on how much of the numbers there are. Although both will decrease, the mean will increase the most. The median will just go down slightly. While the mean will take tremendous damage.

Apologies if it's wrong and have a good day!~

a 65 foot ladder is leaning against a well. Its lower end is 25 feet away from the wall. How much farther away will it be if upp
Crazy boy [7]
<h3>Answer:  14 feet</h3>

=====================================================

Explanation:

Check out the diagrams below.

We'll start with the left diagram (marked "before") which is a right triangle with the horizontal leg of 25 feet and hypotenuse 65 feet.

Use the pythagorean theorem to find the vertical side x.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

25^2 + x^2 = 65^2

625 + x^2 = 4225

x^2 = 4225 - 625

x^2 = 3600

x = sqrt(3600)

x = 60

The top of the ladder is 60 feet high when placed against the wall in this configuration.

------------------

If the upper end is moved down 8 feet, then x-8 = 60-8 = 52 feet is the new height of the ladder. Refer to the "after" in the diagram below.

Like earlier, we'll use the pythagorean theorem to find the missing side.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

y^2 + 52^2 = 65^2

y^2 + 2704 = 4225

y^2 = 4225 - 2704

y^2 = 1521

y = sqrt(1521)

y = 39

The horizontal distance from the ladder base to the wall is now 39 feet.

Earlier it was 25 feet, so it has increased by 39-25 = 14 feet.

Cerrena [4.2K]

Answer:

The distribution that the animals will exhibit shall be uniform circular distribution.

Step-by-step explanation:

The uniform circular distribution in a circular disc of radius 'R' is given by

f(x)=\frac{2\sqrt{R^{2}-x^{2}}}{\pi R^{2} }(-R< x< +R)\\\\f(x)=0(x> +R,x< -R)

Applying values we get

f(x)=\frac{2\sqrt{0.5^{2}-x^{2}}}{\pi 0.5^{2} }(-R< x< +R)\\\\f(x)=2.54\sqrt{0.5^{2}-x^{2}}

Help pls asap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yawa3891 [41]
Hello!

We can put the x values in and see if we get y

Option 1:
Set A: y = 4x - 2

Do the first values

y = 4(-1) - 2

y = -4 - 2

y = -6

Look at the next one to be sure

y = 4(1) - 2

y = 4 - 2

y = 2

So the set A equation is correct we can look at set be now

y = x + 4

y = -5 + 4

y = -1

Try the next one to be sure

y = -2 + 4

y = 2

So the set B equation is also correct

The answer is the first one

Hope this helps!
