After 1.4 seconds, t = 1.4.
h(t) = 150 - 9(1.4)
Multiply 9 by 1.4 to get 12.6.
h(t) = 150 - 12.6
Subtract 12.6 from 150 to get 137.4.
h(t) = 137.4.
The height of the ball would be 137.4 after 1.4 seconds.
Hope this helps!

gAnswer:

x represnts the number of t-shirts and y represents the price

x = 1 y = 9

x = 2 y = 16

x = 3 y = 24

etc.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is not propational relationship because if it was putten on a graph it would not make a striaght line. The quantities do not have a propational relationship because for it can be a propational relationship you have to divide or multiply, you have to have a striaght line, and it has to go through the origin (0,0)

Yao Xin puts \dfrac{3}{10} 10 3 ? start fraction, 3, divided by, 10, end fraction liters of potting soil in each pot for plantin
slega [8]

Answer:

<em>She can fill 19 pots.</em>

Step-by-step explanation:

Yao Xin puts \frac{3}{10} liters of potting soil in each pot.

Suppose, the number of pots Yao Xin can fill is x

So, <u>the total amount of potting soil</u> in x number of pots will be:  \frac{3}{10}x liters.

Given that, she has 5\frac{2}{3} or \frac{17}{3} liters of potting soil. So, the equation will be........

\frac{3}{10}x= \frac{17}{3} \\ \\ x=\frac{17}{3}* \frac{10}{3}= \frac{170}{9}=18\frac{8}{9}

So, she can fill  pots.

Working her way through school, Kathy works two part-time jobs for a total of 23 hours a week. Job A pays $5.70 per hour, and Jo
trapecia [35]

Answer:

<u>Kathy worked 11 hours at job A and 12 hours at job B, the week she made US$ 146.70.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Let's review all the information given for solving this question:

Rate per hour of Job A = US$ 5.70

Rate per hour of Job B = US$ 7.00

Earnings received by Kathy during the week = US$ 146.70

Total time worked by Kathy during the week = 23 hours

Hours at job A = x

Hours at job B = 23 -x

2. Let's find how many hours Katy worked at each job:

This is the equation that we'll use:

5.70x + 7 (23 - x) = 146.70

5.70x + 161 - 7x = 146.70

- 1.3x = 146.70 - 161 (Subtracting 161 at both sides)

-1.3x = - 14.30

1.3x = 14.3 (Multiplying by - 1 at both sides)

x = 14.3/1.3 = 11 (Dividing by 1.3 at both sides)

<u>Kathy worked 11 hours at job A and 12 hours at job B.</u>

3. Proof of x = 11

5.70 x + 7 (23 - x) = 146.70

5.70 (11) + 7 (23 - 11) = 146.70

62.70 + 7 (12) = 146.70

62.70 + 84 = 146.70

146.70 = 146.70

<u>The value of x = 11 is correct.</u>
