The formula A=P(1+r)^2 gives the amount A in dollars that P dollars will grow to in 2 years at interest rate R (where r is given

as a decimal), using compound interest. What interest rate will cause $ 5000 to grow to $ 5304.50 in 2 years?

P=presne amount=5000
A=furutre amount which you want to be 5304.50

solve for r

5304.50=5000(1+r)^2
divide both sides by 5000
1.0609=(1+r)^2
sqrt both sides (remember to get positive and negative roots)
+/-1.03=1+r
minus 1 both sides
+/-1.03-1=r

+1.03-1=r=0.03=3%
-1.03-1=r=-2.03=false, no negative percents

answer is 3%

WINSTONCH [101]
As tgose lines are parallel then,

a = 140° ( by alternate interior angles)

then,
tha angle just below "a" on the other paralle line would also be 140° by corresponding angles,

using exterior angle property of triangle

66° + b = 140°

b = 140° -66
= 74°

Yo i need help wit 17 and 18 i’ll give u a brainliest you please

Answer:

17. See below

18. 750

Step-by-step explanation:

17. Since the lollipops are being sold at the same price, 50 cents, for each one sold, they make a constant amount of money. For each increase in lollipops sold, there is a constant increase in money made, and thus the situation is a linear function.

18. To solve this equation, let's say y is the money made at the convention in dollars and x is the number of lollipops sold. If the principal gave them 125 dollars before they sold any lollipops (0 lollipops sold), then 125 is the y-intercept of the function, and in the equation y=mx+b, b=125. If each lollipop costs 50 cents (half of a dollar), then for each lollipop, x, sold, .5 dollars are made and are added to the profit, y. Thus, .5 dollars is the slope. The equation then becomes:

y=0.5x+125

Now, if they need 500 dollars, y is thus equal to 500 dollars. Solving the equation:

500=0.5x+125

500-125=0.5x

375=0.5x

\frac{375}{0.5} =x

375*2=x

750=x

Thus, 750 lollipops must be sold.

Find the derivative of x³/tanx
juin [17]

Answer:

Below.

Step-by-step explanation:

We apply the quotient rule:

dy/dx = ( tanx * 3x^2 - x^3 * sec^2x)  /  (tan^2 x)

= x^2( 3tanx - xsec^2x) / tan^2x
