What is the solution of the system of equations? 3x + 6y = –2 15x + 30y = –10

Mathematics

You would have to multiply either equation in order to get one of the variables to cancel.
I would multiply the first equation by -5.
-5(3x + 6y = -2)
-15x -30y = 10
15x + 30y = -10
0 + 0 = 0
Since everything cancels and the equation is true, the solution is Infinitely many solutions, or all real numbers.

Which of the following is the graph of y = sin(0.5x)?
Alexeev081 [22]
You did not include the graphs, but I can explain how the graph is and so you can recognize it.

1) for x = 0, y = sin(0) = 0, so the  origin (0,0) is part of the graph.

2) The range of the function is the interval [-1, 1]. This is, y is from -1 to 1, and the graph oscilates (is a wave) between those minimum and maximum.

3) The periodicity, P, of the function is such that 0.5P = 2π = > P = 4π

That means that the values repeat every 4π interval (which is the same that 720°)

4) The zeroes of the function are 2π * n, where n is any whole number (negative, zero or positive).

That means that the function crosses the x-axis at

..., -6π, -4π, 2π, 0, 2π, 4π , 6π, ...

5) It is an odd function (which means that f(x) = sin(0.5x) = - f(-x) = - sin(-0.5x).

Now you have plenty information to identify the graph.

I also include a graph of the function in the attached pdf file.

Find the slope of (1,5) (-1,-3)
Papessa [141]

Answer:

4

Step-by-step explanation:

Slope= y2-y1/x2-x1

(1,5) is placed as (x1,y1) and (-1,-3) is placed as (x2,y2)

Plug it in

-3-5/-1-1

Simplify

-8/-2 = 4

Slope=4

What is the value of f(1)? <br> A. 0<br> B. 1<br> C. 2<br> D. 4
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

The value of f(1) is A. 0

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, when they ask what is the value of f(1), they want you to tell them what is the "y" coordinate of the point with the "x" coordinate equal to 1. In our case, the point with the "x" coordinate equal to 1 has the "y" coordinate equal to 0. Therefore, the value of f(1) is A. 0
