For this case we must solve the following expression:

8- \frac {5} {6} ÷ \frac {7} {8}

According to the PEMDAS algebraic order method, we have the following order:

P: Parenthesis

E: Exponents

MD: Multiplication and division

AS: Addition and subtraction

So, we have:

8- \frac {\frac {5} {6}} {\frac {7} {8}} =\\8- \frac {5 * 8} {6 * 7} =\\8- \frac {40} {42} =\\8- \frac {20} {21} =

\frac {8 * 21-20} {21} =\\\frac {168-20} {21} =\\\frac {148} {21} =\\7 \frac {1} {21}

Answer:

7 \frac {1} {21}

The question involves the concept & equations associated with projectile motion.

Given:
y₁ = 1130 ft
v₁ = +46 ft/s (note positive sign indicates upwards direction)
t = 6.0 s
g = acceleration due to gravity (assumed constant for simplicity) = -32.2 ft/s²

Of the possible equations of motion, the one we'll find useful is:

y₂ = y₁ + v₁t + 1/2gt²

We can just plug and chug to define the equation of motion:

<u><em>y = (1130 ft) + (46 ft/s)t + 1/2(-32.2 ft/s²)t²</em></u>

<em>(note: if you were to calculate y using t = 6.0 s, you'd find that y = 826.4 ft, instead of 830 ft exactly because of some rounding of g and/or the initial velocity)</em>

10. Explain why log328 is between 3 and 4.
maw [93]

Answer:

See explanation.

(Before continuing reading, I took the base to be 3. Please tell me if you didn't want the base to be 3.)

Step-by-step explanation:

I assume 3 is suppose to be the base. Let's list some values that can be written as 3 to some integer.

3^0=1

3^1=3

3^2=9

3^3=27

3^4=81

3^5=243

......

I could have also did negative integer powers, but this is all I really need to convince you that log_3(28) is between 3 and 4.

log_3(28) means the value x such that 3^x=28.

Since 28 is between 27 and 81 in my list above, that means 3^x is between 3^3 and 3^4. This means that x is a value between 3 and 4.

What is the measure of angle c?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

50 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay! So first off, because this is NOT a right triangle, we can't use soh cah toa. That means we can either use the law of sines or the law of cosines.

Because we only have sides here and no angles, we are forced to use the law of cosines.

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 − 2ab cos(C)

c = 6

b = 7.5

a = 6.5

36 = 6.5^2 + 7.5^2 - 2(6.5)(7.5)cos(C)

36 = 98.5 - 97.5cos(C)

-62.5 = -97.5cos(C)

0.641 = cos(C)

angle C = cos^-1(0.641)

angle C = 50.13 which is around 50 degrees

Remember! A dumb thing i always used to do in geometry was use radians instead of degrees, be sure to use degrees here because you are looking for degrees. Radians are for things involving not degrees, but PI.

1/10 x 1.6

First make 1/10 over 100
1/10(10/10) = 10/100, which = 0.10

0.1 x 1.6 = 0.16

0.16, or 16/100, is your answer

hope this helps
