The answer is B: To identify what the author wants readers to do with the information in the article.

Restating an idea is repeating the same idea in different words and using a different structure. A reader may look for an idea that is restated because it shows that the author wanted to place a certain emphasis on that idea by repeating it. In this way, the reader can understand what was the objective of the author and what he/she wants the reader to do with the information in the article.

I think it would be "To identify what the author wants readers to do with the information in the article."

It can be true or false, fiction or nonfiction, believable or not. We define it broadly to encompass entertainment, news, opinion, and commentary.

The answer is B: The clause "who as born in Virginia" needs to be set off by commas because it is a nonrestrictive element. This clause is nonrestrictive element because it adds further information about Thomas Jefferson, but it is not essencial to the meaning of the sentence, which means that if it is excluded, the readers will still understand the general meaning of the sentence. It uses commas to separate the additional information. Commas are always used when the word modified by the appositive is a proper noun.
