Ava is very involved in her high school, and she is the captain of
Svetach [21]

Ava's peculiar behavior, according to contemporary approaches, is explained as follows:

Explanation:

Early Behaviorism Approach:

According to this school of thought in psychology, it believes that behavior is learned and, is a product of one's interaction with the environmental stimulus. In a way, it is a learning process where a person may learn a particular behavior by manipulating the environment or by gaining certain reinforcements from the environment.

Thus, as per this theory, Eva's behavior may be a product of the learning from her environment that being well known leads to being famous and being an achiever. Being in cordial terms with others probably does not get her the recognition that she requires.

Humanistic Approach:

This is a need-based approach. It explains that a person always has a need that needs to be fulfilled, which, if not met, may lead to stress and other inadequate behavior.

Keeping this in mind, Eva's behavior may be viewed as her need for affection may not have been met as a child hence the problems in interpersonal relations.

Cognitive Approach;

This approach studies behavior and mental thinking through the lens of one's perception, feelings, and reasoning. It is about how one thinks and thereby exhibits the behavior accordingly.

Thus, regarding this approach, Eva's behavior may be seen she interpreting success and popularity as being a priority rather than, also, focusing on how to maintain relations as they too lead to satisfaction and mental well being.

Biological Approach:

This is a purely scientific approach, which believes that anything mental is initially always physiological. According to it, any behavior may first illicit's some physical alteration in the body, which then gets expressed mentally and through behavior.

Thus, even though it is not mentioned in the passage, it may be presumed that Eva may be experiencing some kind of anxiety or panic when getting closer or interacting with others. This point may be investigated to know about the roots of her peculiar behavior.
