Assignment: Write two paragraphs that describe the warning signs of a physically and sexually controlling relationship and describe the decision-making process a person should go through when deciding to leave an abusive relationship.
Response: When the red flags start to arise, it's usually too late for someone to turn away from the relationship as they were blinded by the possibility of their significant other getting 'better', even if it seems hopeless. They didn't realize the control their partner had over them, and how emotionally exhausted they became within minutes of being with them. Their life no longer belonged to them, and they lost themselves quickly. A study back in 2018 showed that regardless of gender, the person stuck in the unhealthy relationship too dearly loved their lover, and even if it resulted in a harmful ending, a lot of them would end up with Stockholm syndrome. This shows how completely and utterly their life was taken over.
Uplifting Note: Love is a powerful thing, but make sure you always put yourself first.

For non-modifiable risk factors, these are the innate or inborn characteristics that cannot be changed or modified in any way possible. It includes age, genetic predisposition, racial origin and sexual orientation. Those are the factors which your ancestors passed on to you by blood and by family ties. On the other hand, modifiable risk factors are those characteristics of a person that can be changed and modified anytime he or she wants. It includes lifestyle, social status, occupation and current health perception. For example, sedentary lifestyle can be modified once you have started working out and beginned to plan a well-balanced diet. Social status can also be modified once you are promoted at work and eventually will get a higher salary as an award. Current health status and perception can be changed through proper health education that can be inculcated through social media and health professionals' health promotion in the hospital.
