-10r + 6 + r + 5  is not a question, so there's nothing to answer, and it's not an equation, so there's nothing to solve.

Maybe your assignment says something like "simplify it", or "combine like terms".
That just means clean it up and make it prettier to look at and easier to work with.
If that's the question, then here's the answer:

-10r + 6 + r + 5

Do you see the -10r and the +r in there ?
                                    You can combine them into ' -9r '.

Do you see the +6 and the +5 in there ?
                                     When you add those together, they make +11 .

So now, the original expression became: -9r + 11 .

Nothing has changed. The shorter one still has exactly the same value as the original one. But it's a lot simpler, neater, easier to read, and easier to work with.

$21.50 - $4 = $17.50 If you start with $21.50, subtract the $4 entrance fee, you have $17.50 left to spend on rides. To figure out how many rides you can go on, divide $17.50 by $2.50. You can go on 7 rides. Here's the equation:

(21.5-4)/2.5=amount of rides

(21.5-4)/2.5= 7 rides

Nathan ordered one cheeseburger and one bag of chips for 3.75 jack ordered two cheeseburgers and three bags of chips for 8.25 kn
Elan Coil [88]

Answer:

cheeseburger is $3 and chips is $0.75

Step-by-step explanation:

Let price of cheeseburger be x while price of a bag of chips be y hence for the case of Nathan, we can write the equation as x+y=3.75. Similarly, for Jack, we can write it as 2x+3y=8.25

x+y=3.75 hence x=3.75-y and substituting this into the second equation we have

2x+3y=8.25

2(3.75-y)+3y=8.25

7.5-2y+3y=8.25

y=8.25-7.5=0.75

x=3.75-y=3.75-0.75=3

Therefore, price of cheeseburger is $3 and chips is $0.75
