I believe the answer is 1/2 because 5 out of 10 of the trials have 0 occurring more than once so the fraction is 5/10= 1/2 so I think you answer should be 1/2

Answer:

Jason's estimated probability, based on this simulation is:

1/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Let 0 represent that head turn up on flipping a coin and 1 represent that tail turn up on flipping a coin.

There are 10 trials whose results are given as:

110 111 100  000    101

111 100 000   011     010

Now we are asked to find the probability of heads coming up more than once in 3 coin flips i.e. we have to consider those trials in which there are more than one " 0's ".

Hence, the outcomes that represent the head coming up more than once are:

100  000    100    000   010

Let P denote the probability of an event.

Number of outcomes where head comes up more than once i.e. number of favorable outcomes are: 5.

Total number of outcomes=10

Hence,

Probability( Head comes up more than once)=Number of favorable outcomes/Total number of outcomes.

i.e. Probability( Head comes up more than once)=5/10=1/2

Hence, the estimated probability is:

1/2

An arithmetic series a consists of consecutive integers that are multiples of 4 what is the sum of the first 9 terms of this seq
frez [133]
<h3>Answer: 144</h3><h3>Step-by-step explanation:</h3><h3 />

Since, the first 9 multiple of 4 starts from 0 are,

0, 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, ................

Which is an AP,

Having the first term, a_1 = 0

And, the successive difference, d = 4,

Since, the sum of the n term of an AP,

S_n = \frac{n}{2}[2a + (n-1)d]

Hence the sum of 9 term of the above AP,

S_9 = \frac{9}{2}[2\times 0 + (9-1)\times 4]

S_9 = \frac{9}{2}(0 + 8\times 4)

S_9 = \frac{9}{2}(32)

S_9 = \frac{288}{2}=144

y represents the total amount he spent in x amount of rides+ the $10 fee.

Step-by-step explanation:

At x=0, y=10 because he needs to pay $10 to enter, and he haven't rode on anything yet.

x=1, y=12

x=2, y=14

x=3, y=16

... and so on.
