The substance that helps keep the integrity of the bacterial cell wall intact is known as the peptidoglycan. Others also refer to is it as murein or mucopeptide. The bacterial cell wall is necessary for survival because of the high internal pressure present inside of bacteria. Under normal conditions, if the cell wall is removed the bacterial cell will burst.

The peptidoglycan is a layer that can be used to distinguish gram positive bacteria from gram negative ones. G(+) bacteria have a thick layer of this while G(-) have a thinner ones.

Arrange the following "sound processing events" in order, from start to finish. - Vibrations are conveyed to the endolymph insid
kompoz [17]

Answer:

1) Sound waves move down the auditory canal toward the eardrum

2) Sound waves cause the eardrum and middle ear bones to vibrate

3) Vibrations are conveyed to the endolymph inside the cochlea, causing the cochlear hair cells to bend

4) Bending of the cochlear hair cells causes ion channels to open, which causes neurotransmitters to be released, which results in activation of the auditory nerve, which sends signals to the brain for processing

A horticulturist is planting a garden that is 4 m x 20 m. What dimensions could she use to create a scale model to plan it?
SOVA2 [1]

Given :

A horticulturist is planting a garden that is 4 m x 20 m.

To Find :

Dimensions could she use to create a scale model to plan it.

Solution :

Ratio of dimensions is :

R=\dfrac{20}{4}\\\\R=5

Now , options with same ratio will be useful to make scale diagram :

a) 4/1 = 4

b) 200/40 = 5

c) 5/1 = 5

d) 4/2 = 2

Therefore, options b) and c) are useful to make scale diagram.

Hence, this is the required solution.
