Answer:

When plotting coordinates, the first number is called your X axis, while the second number is your Y. Since the X axis goes left and right, and the Y axis goes up and down, plotting (2,3) would be a point closer to the bottom of the graph and somewhere in the right. (3,2) would be higher up and less far right.
Hope this helps and by plotting them, you could visualize these concepts more.
Happy studying!

Bryan is observing the velocity of a cyclist at different times. After four hours, the velocity of the cyclist is 15 km/h. After
Gnoma [55]
The best way to solve this problem is to graph all variables, velocity being the dependent variable (y-axis) and time being the independent variable (x-axis) . Since we are given two points for the two variables, we use the point-slope formula to get the slope which happens to be -1. We then use the standard form y = mx + b and substitute m with -1. Next we want to find b, we will again use the point slope formula now knowing m to be -1. we chose point 0 for time(x-axis) and at zero, we obtain a value of your b which happens to be +19. A line graph would better visualize my point. Cheers!

Compound interest <br> Plz help!!!
liraira [26]

Answer:

a) A(t) = 17500(1.0053)^{12t}

b) The balance after 8 years will be of $29,069.

Step-by-step explanation:

Compound interest:

The compound interest formula is given by:

A(t) = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

Where A(t) is the amount of money after t years, P is the principal(the initial sum of money), r is the interest rate(as a decimal value), n is the number of times that interest is compounded per year and t is the time in years for which the money is invested or borrowed.

a)

Loan of $17,500 means that P = 17500

6.4% interest rate means that r = 0.064

Compounded monthly means that n = 12. So

A(t) = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

A(t) = 17500(1 + \frac{0.064}{12})^{12t}

A(t) = 17500(1.0053)^{12t}

b)

This is A(8). Then

A(8) = 17500(1.0053)^{12*8} = 29069

The balance after 8 years will be of $29,069.
