Answer:

The second image is the correct answer.

Explanation:

The cell was discovered by Rober Hooke when analyzing cork cuts under a microscope. He verified the presence of small spaces, which he called a cell, a word derived from the Latin cellula which means small compartment. After Hooke's analysis, several studies were developed in order to better understand the functioning of these structures. In 1676, Antonie van Leeuwenhoek analyzed some cells and realized that they were not just empty compartments, but had internal structures.

Studying animal and plant tissues, Theodor Schwann and Mathias Schleiden came to very similar conclusions about cells. They published their ideas independently and claimed that all organisms were made up of cells. There emerged the main pillar of Cell Theory.

In 1855, Rudolf Virchow, a German pathologist who agreed with Schwann and Schleiden's ideas, stated, after some studies, that all cells originated from pre-existing cells. The point highlighted by Virchow was also incorporated into cell theory.

The environmental benefits of composting include all of following EXCEPT____________.

Answer:

B. generation of rich organic fertilizer.

Explanation:

Compost and fertilizers are different. There is a simple way to distinguish between compost and fertilizers.  Compost feeds the soil, and fertilizer feeds the plants. Fertilizer adds to the soil for nutrient supplying purpose to the plants. But compost helps to increase the microbial activities of the soil, which improves the health of the soil.

10. Researchers observe a large population of birds on a remote island. Birds in the population are found to have either red cre
IgorLugansk [536]
Suppose that the proportion of the white crest alleles (r) is given by w and that of the Red crest allele (R) is given by p. We have that p+w=1. The probability that an individual has 2 r alleles is given by w*w since for each allele position the probability is w. Only these individuals have a White phenotype. Hence, we get that w^2=\frac{1759}{1759+11088}; the right hand side is the proportion of white birds in the total population. Doing the calculations, this yields that w=0.37. From this, we calculate that p=0.63. The possible ways we have heterozygous individuals are the combinations Rr and rR. The probability for each of those is p*w. Thus, the total probability is 2pw. This is equal to 0.466=0.47. This is the fraction of the future population that is going to be heterozygous assuming the conditions of the Handy-Weinberg equilibrium like random reproductive matching etc.
