For instance, you have just seen a fight between your parents, and now you are about to go to school, what do you think you would be doing all day, studying? Not exactly! You would be wandering and thinking about that fight over and over. Which would for sure lead you to the isolation you won't like anything else, no one's company would give you comfort because the situation you are facing doesn't stem from the outside of the world, it comes from your own home. And sometimes you would even start feeling jealous when you will look at the parents of your fellows and how happy they are. These situations can degrade you totally, can stop you from delivering your 100%.
