Find the surface area of the pyramid. the surface area of the pyramid is __in squared.
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

561.08in^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

S A = lw + l \sqrt{(\frac{w}{2})^{2}  + h^{2}  } + w \sqrt{(\frac{l}{2})^{2} + h^{2}  }

SA = 14(14) + 14 \sqrt{(\frac{14}{2})^{2} + 11^{2}  }+ 14 \sqrt{(\frac{14}{2})^{2} + 11^{2}  } = 561.08in^{2}

The cost of 5 squash and 2 zucchini is $1.32. Three squash and 1 zucchini cost $0.75. Find the cost of each vegetable.
jonny [76]

Answer:

The cost of 1 squash  = $0. 18

The coat if 1 zucchini = $ 0.21

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,Let us assume the cost of  1 squash = $ m

Cost of 1 zucchini = $ n

Now, the cost of 5 squash   = 5 x ( cost of 1 squash)  = 5 x ($ m) = 5 m

Now, the cost of 2 zucchini  =   2 x ( cost of 1 zucchini)  = 2 x ($ n) = 2 n

So, the total cost of 5 squash and 2 zucchini =  Cost of (5 squash +  2 zucchini)

⇒ $ 1. 32  = 5 m +  2 n  ........  (1)

Similarly,

The cost of 3 squash   = 3 x ( cost of 1 squash)  = 3 x ($ m) = 3 m

And, the cost of 1 zucchini  = $ n

So, the total cost of 3 squash and 1 zucchini =  Cost of (3 squash +  1 zucchini)

⇒ $ 0. 75  = 3 m +   n  ........  (2)

or, n = 0.75 - 3 m

Substitute this value in (1) , we get

1. 32  = 5 m +  2 n ⇒ 1.32 =  5 m + 2 (0.75 - 3 m)

or, 1. 32 = 5 m + 2(0.75) - 2(3 m)

or, 1 . 32  =  5 m + 1.5 - 6m

⇒ m = 1. 5  - 1. 32  =  0.18

or, m = 0. 18

So, the cost of 1 squash  = $0. 18

And,the  cost of 1 zucchini = n = 0.75 - 3 m = 0.75 - 3 (0.18)  =  0.21

or, the cost if 1 zucchini = $ 0.21
