The Reid technique was first brought to practice by John E. Reid. The main aim of this technique is to make the suspect feel more comfortable with telling the truth. This technique literally helped in solving thousands of crimes. The suspects of the crime are questioned and information regarding the crime is gathered.
According to Freud, people's desires and motivation reside in the id. The id is the impulsive subconscious part of the mind which is based on the need and desire to seek immediate satisfaction. The id does not grasp or care for consequences of the action or the reality of it .what it cares for is that it gets what it wants.
