Answer: By practicing her speech, Laura's nerves calm down.

Explanation: Making a presentation is often a difficult thing for most people because the lack confidence presenting in front of a large audience. However with constant practicing one can over come the fear of public speaking. Also having positive thoughts boosts your advantage and confidence to speak to an audience.
