Read the passage from Roosevelt's "Quarantine" speech. To paraphrase a recent author "perhaps we foresee a time when men, exulta

nt in the technique of homicide, will rage so hotly over the world that every precious thing will be in danger, every book and picture and harmony, every treasure garnered through two millenniums, the small, the delicate, the defenseless—all will be lost or wrecked or utterly destroyed." What technique is Roosevelt primarily using to refute the belief that America should remain isolated? Question options: He is communicating his utter lack of hope in America's future. He cites other educated, respected people who agree with his viewpoint. He is pointing out the error in the audience's logic, which will motivate it to act. He is using loaded language, which undermines his credibility.

C. He is pointing out the error in the audience's logic, which will motivate it to act.

In this particular speech, Roosevelt is speaking out against the general population’s view that the United States of America should stay out of a war and, for all intents and purposes, be self-quarantined.  What he does here is mention the consequences of being isolated and potentially letting evil dominate the world. Thus, he is pointing out the folly of his audience’s belief and logic.

Write four sentences that incorporate ‘imagery’ (all of your senses) to describe a place that you like to visit.
Wewaii [24]

I wish to partake in such immense scenery with unbiased vision.

To take in the strong aroma which has brought joy to many before me with such a ocean of flowers.

To hear the chirping of birds and the buzz of bees pollinating does me great joy.

I wish to hold this place; all its worth and beauty in such corrupted and dark hands, to feast on the many rewards this lavish land provides.
