The advancements in the genetics have been of great benefit for the humanity, but also of the other living organism. By managing to map the human genome the benefits can be enormous, primarily because the chromosomal abnormalities will be detected so the scientists will be able to act on it and either eliminate them or stopping their development. This will lead to much longer and healthier life among the humans, but this also goes for the animals, as the same principles can be used on them if their genomes are mapped.
