Use the slope formula (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
(15-10)/(6-4)= 5miles/2minutes
Therefore the answer is 2.5 miles per minute choice c

So, the rate of change is basically the slope and how do we find the slope? Rise over run, which is how much the y value changes over how much the x value changes. In this case, the y value goes from 10 to 15, which means it has rose 5 times, so the top number of your fraction for slope would be 5. Then, the x value goes from 4 to 6, so the denominator would be 2. The slope is 5 miles over 2 minutes. To find out how many miles per one minute, you need to get the denominator to 1, do this by dividing it by 2. Of course, you also have to divide the numerator by 2, which equals 2.5. So, the rate of change is 2.5 miles per minute, or C. Hope this helps!

Patricia wishes to have a rectangular-shaped garden in her backyard. she has 70 ft of fencing material with which to enclose her
Scilla [17]
For this problem, let x be the width and y be the length of the rectangle. We use these variable to make an equation from the perimeter.

Perimeter = 2*Length + 2*WIdth
Perimeter = 2y + 2x
70 = 2y + 2x

The area of a rectangle is equal to the product of x and y. Since we want the equation in terms of x only, let's find y in terms of x.

y = 35 - x

Hence, the formula for area is:

Area = xy
Area = x(35 -x)
Area = 35x - x²

2/3 X 4/1 need help plz
My name is Ann [436]
You multiply the top numerator which gives you 8, and then you multiply the denominators which give you 3. \frac{8}{3} you then simplify it which makes it = 2\frac{2}{3}
I hope this helped! :)
