There is a 20% probability that a person inoculated with a particular vaccine will get the disease anyway. A county health offic

e inoculates 83 people. What is the probability that exactly 10 of them will get the disease at some point in their lives? 0.0202 0.0210 0.0412 0.9587

Answer:

Hence, the required probability is:

                        0.0210

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of people who are inoculated=83

The probability that a person inoculated will get disease=20%=0.20

Now we are asked to find that exactly 10 of them will get the disease at some point in their lives.

This means we have to use binomial to find the probability.

We know that the probability of k successes out of the n experiments performed is given by:

P(X=k)=n_C_kp^kq^{n-k}

where p is the probability of success.

and q=1-p is the probability of failure.

Hence, from the given question we have:

p=0.20\ ,\ q=0.80\\\\n=83\ and\ k=10

Hence,

P(X=10)={83}_C_{10}\times (0.20)^{10}\times (0.80)^{83-10}\\\\\\P(X=10)={83}_C_{10}\times (0.20)^{10}\times (0.80)^{73}

Hence, on solving the values we obtain:

P(X=10)=0.0210

The amount Cami raised during last year’s charity walk, $45.50, is StartFraction 7 over 10 EndFraction of the amount she raised
barxatty [35]

Answer:

The equation is given by:

n = \frac{7}{10} \times 45.50

Step-by-step explanation:

During last years's charity walk, she raised $45.50.

During this years walk, she raised n, which is 7/10 of this amount. So, the equation is given by:

n = \frac{7}{10} \times 45.50

Craig likes to collect video records last year he had 10 records his collection now has 12 records what is the percent increase
algol [13]
I believe the answer is a 20% increase because 12-10 equals 2. there is a 2 record difference so 2 out of 10 is 1/5 of the whole, but you have to convert the numbers and 1/5 of the whole of 100 is 20. sorry if that didn’t make much sense

What is the value of a? -2(a-8)+6a=36
Aleksandr [31]
First we expand the brackets:

-2a + 8 + 6a = 36
4a + 8 = 36

We then need to get the a's onto one side and the numbers onto the other:

4a = 28

We can then divide to get an x by itself:

a = 28/4 = 7
