Describe a Greek temple in 250 words
Reptile [31]

Answer:

Greek temples (Ancient Greek: ναός, romanized: naós, lit. 'dwelling', semantically distinct from Latin templum, "temple") were structures built to house deity statues within Greek sanctuaries in ancient Greek religion. The temple interiors did not serve as meeting places, since the sacrifices and rituals dedicated to the respective deity took place outside them, within the wider precinct of the sanctuary, which might be large. Temples were frequently used to store votive offerings. They are the most important and most widespread building type in Greek architecture. In the Hellenistic kingdoms of Southwest Asia and of North Africa, buildings erected to fulfill the functions of a temple often continued to follow the local traditions. Even where a Greek influence is visible, such structures are not normally considered as Greek temples. This applies, for example, to the Graeco-Parthian and Bactrian temples, or to the Ptolemaic examples, which follow Egyptian tradition. Most Greek temples were oriented astronomically.

Write a paragraph about the New Deal and how it might have helped.
Vesna [10]

Answer:

here is an old essay on the new deal i did a while ago. (sorry i was against the new deal)

During one of the United States’ biggest economic declines, called the Great Depression, children had to work because their families were extremely poor. This occurred in the 1930s.  Then Franklin Delano Rosevelt (“FDR”, the president at the time) tried to fix that by creating the New Deal, a collection of programs to get the country out of  recession by creating job programs.

The New Deal was not effective but the real reason we got out of the depression was World War Two (“WW2”).  There are two reasons I believe this: 1) The government jobs were temporary; 2) the taxes increased the price for goods.

Most of FDR’s New Deal programs were temporary.  A great example of this is the CCC was never used again after the depression.  Additionally, the WPA ended in 1943 just a few years before the end of WW2.

The farmers were not making enough money so FDR made a program to help farmers. To do this, the  government told all of the  farmers to exhaust agricultural goods, so farmers could keep up with technology, supply and demand, and increase prices. But on the other hand the average joe couldn't afford food because the supply was low and prices were high.

FDR made programs to help the poorest people of the depression, hence the CCC to get the economy up and running, and helped the average joe by giving them jobs and putting their money back to work. However the CCC could not last forever and WW2 had a greater impact on the economy, because we kickstarted the mass production of guns, bullets, jeeps, and many other warfare items.

The New Deal helped the small minute details of the depression. But the depression was like the hammer fist that fixed everything else.  Because there was so much demand for jobs women worked in the factories and jeeps were getting blown up and the army needed replacement jeeps. Also bullets were constantly getting wasted so we needed people to make more bullets and a demand for everything went up.

The new deal was an attempt to fix the economy and, failed because of taxes overspending and speculation.  The new deal was a desperate attempt to fix the economy but, if it worked we will never know.

How are the executive powers divided in state governments?
zlopas [31]

The correct answer would be C. State governments, using the USA as the basis, have jurisdiction and are responsible for its territories but are a part of the USA and are not legally recognized on the international level and don’t have same status as for example Germany. They share the organizational structure with the federal government. So, they have executive, judicial and legislative branches in accordance with the principle of checks and balances. Also following that principle, the executive power is split between the Governor and other state administrators like attorney general, secretary of state and so on.
