The Second continental congress was made up of the original 13 colonies.
(The first continental congress was all the colonies except Georgia, the 2nd had all 13) The second continental congress asked Thomas Jefferson to create the Declaration of Independence because they wanted to part with Britain. The Second Continental congress also developed the Continental Army, which George Washington was the commander of.The Second Continental Congress played a big part in the American Revolution.
