Answer:

Area of the Pizza is 28.26 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A circular pizza is cut into 6 slices .

Total length of the cuts = 18 cm

To find : Area of the Pizza.

Since, Total length of the cuts = 18 cm

⇒ length of 6 radius = 18 cm

  Length of a radius = 18/6 = 3 cm

Area of the Pizza = Area of the Circle = πr²

                            = 3.14\times(3)^2

                            = 3.14\times9

                            = 28.26 cm²

                            ≈ 28.26 cm²

Therefore, Area of the Pizza is 28.26 cm²

The 6 slice of the pizza suggest that it's 3lines onlhy to cut it into pieces.
So use the 18/3 we can conclude that the diameter is 6cm then
we can know that the radius of the pizza is 3cm
Then the area is π*r*r which is 9*π

What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (−2,−3) and is parallel to the line 4x-y=14
liraira [26]

Answer:

4x - y = -5

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a new line which is parallel to old line 4x - y = 14 looks exactly the same as that of the old line EXCEPT that we replace the constant, 14, with C and find C for the line that passes through (-2, -3).

4x - y = 14     becomes     4x - y =  C

Now substitutte -2 for x, -3 for y and calculate C:

4(-2) - (-3) = C, or

-8 + 3 = C = - 5

Thus, the new equation is 4x - y = -5

Solve a ship leave port and travel 21km on a bearing of 032° and then 45km on a bearing 287 calculate the distance and bearing o
Olin [163]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let shall be considering the Cosine rule in this situation.

a^2 = b^2+c^2- 2bc.cosA

Where a = ?

b = 21km

c 45km

A = 131

a^2 = 21^2+45^2-2(21*45).cos131

a^2 = 441+2025-1890(-0.6560)

a^2 = 2466+1239.951

a^2 = 3705.951

a= 60.876km

Finding the bearing of the port from the ship.

We shall be considering the Sine rule

Sin A/a = Sin B/b

Where A = ?

a = 45km

B = 131°

b = 60.876km

Sin A/45 = sin131/60.876

SinA×60.876 = 45×sin131

SinA×60.876= 45×0.7547

SinA×60.876 = 33.961

SinA= 33.961/60.876

SinA = 0.5578

A = sin^-1 0.5578

A = 33.9°

Which of the following are solutions to the equation sinxcosx = - 1/4
Dafna1 [17]

The equation is given below as

\sin x\cos x=-\frac{1}{4}

Recall that

\begin{gathered} \sin 2x=2\sin xcosx \\ \text{which means that } \\ \frac{\sin2x}{2}=\sin x\cos x \end{gathered}

Therefore, equating the two-equation, we will have

\frac{\sin 2x}{2}=-\frac{1}{4}

cross multiply, we will have

\begin{gathered} \sin 2x=-\frac{1}{4}\times2 \\ \sin 2x=-\frac{1}{2} \end{gathered}

Therefore,

we will get the arc sign of both sides in radians to get

\begin{gathered} 2x=\sin ^{-1}(-\frac{1}{2}) \\ x=\frac{1}{2}\sin ^{-1}(-\frac{1}{2}) \end{gathered}

In radians, the final answer will be

\begin{gathered} x=\frac{7\pi}{12}+n\pi \\ \text{and} \\ x=\frac{11\pi}{12}+n\pi \end{gathered}

Therefore,

The finals answers are OPTION A and OPTION D
