Yes, in my opinion I think a bar model would be a good model for converting miles to feet. It is simple and easy to understand

I think that a bar model would be a good model for converting miles to feet. In making a bar model, it would be easier to spot on the comparison of both equivalent values of miles and feet. But on the other hand, this also has limitations. This is only good for conversions with fixed, and whole numbers.
hope this helped

Answer:

14 feet.

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the tangent function:

tan\alpha = \frac{opposite}{adjacent}

tan\70 = \frac{a}{15}

a = 15tan\70

a = 14.09538931 ≈ 14

What scale factor was used in going from the grey triangle to the yellow triangle?
Lena [83]

Answer:

2

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to find out the length of the third side of the triangle. (The right side of the Y-axis) We use the pythagorean theorem to find it. 4²+2² = 20 find the square root of 20 √20 = ~4.5 so with this in mind, lets find the length of the whole triangle. 8²+4²=80 then √80 = ~9 with this, we can say that since the length of one of the legs has increased by 2, and so has the length of the base, and also the length of the hypotenuse, the scale factor must be 2.

When looking at the graph of a 5th degree function, how can you determine if all of the zeros of the function are real?
Finger [1]

Answer:

If it cuts x-axis 5 times.

Step-by-step explanation:

When we look at the graph of a function we can see its real roots by looking at its graph

The intersecting points that is the number of times a line cutting x-axis will be the real root of the function

So, by looking at the 5th degree function the number of time that function cuts x-axis will be the number of real roots.

So, if we need to say all the zeroes or roots of the function are real means it will cut the x-axis 5 times.

Because a function will have the root equal to its degree.

What is [2times6]-7+92+45<br> divided by 5
Vesna [10]
\frac{(2 \times 6) - 7 + 92 + 45 }{5} =  \frac{12 - 7 + 92 + 45}{4} =  \frac{142}{5} = 28.4

Hope that helps :)
